Description
This is another version of the original pastel that I painted called "A Door of Hope". I digitally altered and enhanced the artwork by replacing the "burning bush" with a river of water so that I could illustrate this beautiful prophetic Scripture. "Behold II will do a new thing! It will spring forth now. Don't you see it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert" (Isaiah 43:19).
Remember how God set a bush on fire in the middle of the desert because He wanted to get Moses undivided attention? He wanted to heal Moses' brokenness so that He could use him to bring healing and deliverance to a nation of slaves...
God knows our places of weakness and brokenness, too. He seeks us out when we're wandering around in the wilderness so that He can heal our brokenness and bring us deliverance. He wants us to hear the gentleness in His voice as He tenderly places His arms around us, and reminds us that He is betrothed to us forever in love and righteousness.
He doesn't chastise us for our inability to remain faithful to Him when we're stuck in the desert places of our lives. But He assures us that He will always remain faithful in His commitment of love to us. He wants to remind us that the consuming fire of His presence has already swept away our sins like a cloud. Like the morning mist, they have disappeared...
He will do whatever it takes to capture our hearts with His love because He is the One who makes a way for us even in the wilderness places of our lives.♥
