Description
Just lately I have gotten inspired to paint impressionistic watercolors of the beautiful fall leaves that are beginning to turn a myriad shades or gorgeous! I am so thankful to God that He chose to bring so much beauty into this season of the year.
In order to achieve the beautiful effect you see in this painting, it was first painted in layers and washes of various colors... allowing the paint to thoroughly dry between each layer so that the background colors would shine through the darker leaf patterns. Then I sprinkled salt on the wet paint and let it dry. Finally I used a paperclip as a scratching tool to get the desired white pattern on the leaves.♥
