Description
I've gotten inspired to paint winter leaf silhouettes sprinkled with a dusting of snow to brighten up the bleakness of the long winter days. If winter pine needle silhouettes really did look like this I might consider changing my favorite season to winter... I'm so thankful to God that He gave us the gift of creativity to brighten the drabbest of winter days, aren't you?
In order to achieve the beautiful effect you see in this painting, it was first painted in washes of various colors before the darker leaf patterns were painted.♥

Love this black and white leaf design, Hazel! The leaves have such a beautiful lacy look on the dark background! Great job! l/f
