Description
This is a symbolic watercolor painting that I painted a number of years ago as I remembered a vision I had been given while praying for a friend who was in a coma and died a week later. The sky was covered with dark clouds when all of a sudden the clouds parted and I saw this huge heart in the heavens pulsating and beating as if it was about to break.
Immediately I felt like God was telling us that His heart is touched by our sorrows and heartaches... that Jesus Christ has sympathy for us because He took our sins and sicknesses upon Himself so that we might be healed. Notice that the opening in the clouds is in the shape of a dove flying down towards the earth, symbolizing that God wants to give us His peace.
"He was wounded because of our rebellious deeds. He was crushed because of our sins. He endured punishment that made us well. Because of His wounds we have been healed" (Isaiah 53:5).♥
