Description
I was going through a very dark and difficult time in my life when I painted this early morning scene. The sunlight that is breaking through the mist and is reflected in the pond reminds us that even when things seem hopeless, God is our hope, and "His mercies are new every morning" (Lamentations 3:3).♥

This verse is a nice reminder …. Every day, God works wonders big and small. I like the color scheme of using the three primary colors

My auntie and uncle lived in a home like this without running water or indoor plumbing. She so loved her Lord. He blessed her and moved her out of such a tiny cold home into more lovely ones. Her smile every morning taught this 4 year old (at the time) how to look at life and the things that truly count,, rather than the circumstances in which one lives. I love this beautiful work... your witness is daily! Blessings!! Maria.

Hazel, this is such a beautiful painting with the darkness being replaced by the morning light. And such a perfect verse to pair with this image. Very touching. LF
