This is a larger black and white version of the surreal watercolor painting, "Lift Up Your Shield". It visually depicts the spiritual battle that we all experience between light and darkness...

After seeing a vision of a spirit of fear disguised as "Robin Hood", I heard the command: "Lift up your shield of faith!" Although I didn't see who "Robin Hood's" arrows were aimed at, I knew that believers were the target. God was reminding us believers to lift up Jesus Christ because He is our Shield. Our faith must be in Him alone as He is our Shield against all the the attacks and arrows of the enemy.

Since God already defeated the enemy and overthrew him at the cross, the spiritual battle has already been won by Jesus Christ! So if we belong to Him, we can stand in Christ's victory for us as we lift Him up as our Shield.♥

The Scriptures tell us..."For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities and against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age... Therefore... above all take the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one..." (Ephesians 6:12-17)
