Artist's Description

This is a black and white version of the original pastel, "Under His Wings". I created this black and white version because I loved the dramatic contrast between the light and the darkness in this painting of a mother bird protecting her young...

It's a visual reminder to me that God is our shelter in every storm of life that we go through in the darkest of nights. We can always depend on Him to protect our hearts with His love.♥

"Under His wings I am safely abiding;
Though the night deepens and tempests are wild,
Still I can trust Him, I know He will keep me;
He has redeemed me, and I am His child." (Words of a familiar hymn)

PLACEMENT IN FOLLOWING FAA CONTESTS:

* Top Finisher in FAA contest "Night Landscape" 2016
* Top Finisher in "Night Sky" contest 12/13/16

For six months I taught children how to enhance their drawing and painting skills by providing a nurturing, fun, and supportive environment. My goal was to empower these children through their creativity, and in turn...
