Description
I did this painting of the old city of Jerusalem with chalk and pastels for a church Easter program backdrop in 1984. The original artwork was about 12 feet wide and 8 feet high.
During the last few years I have begun to sense the Lord's breaking heart over this beloved city that has seen so much bloodshed and strife over the years. People of opposing faiths and points of view all seem to believe that the land is far more important than the people.
But this has never been God's heart on the matter. He died to redeem people of every nation, tribe and tongue--NOT land. It's people who are His beloved treasure--NOT land! ♥
