Description
This beautiful still life painting is a smaller version of a much larger oil painting called "Ordinary Pleasures" where I reduced the size of the painting in order to focus on the beauty of the vintage red copper kettle.♥
This was my first oil that I did using a palette knife! I love the reflection of light that I see in the copper tea kettle. Makes me want to sit down with a good book and have another cup of tea.
The fresh cranberries make me think of the delicious cranberry relish I like to make at holiday times. Last, but not least, those onions remind me of how good they taste in soups and casseroles... and of course when they are french fried!
Although these are just ordinary pleasures that we all enjoy, they bring joy to our lives in those quiet moments of reflection.♥

Unless you were using Oil or Acrylic, I doubt an artist is able to create this kind of beauty. I didn't realize you created paintings in oil I am so in awe of your background on this painting, setting of the complimentary Red Kettle. It is rich and wonderful... (Oh, do a companion piece)... I know it is so much more difficult with a brush than a mouse.. : )) You are an amazing artist...
