I've gotten inspired to paint winter leaves sprinkled with a dusting of snow and glamorized with fantasy colors to brighten up the bleakness of the long winter days. If winter leaves really did look like this I might consider changing my favorite season to winter... I'm so thankful to God that He gave us the gift of creativity to brighten the drabbest of days, aren't you?
In order to achieve the beautiful effect you see in this painting, it was first painted in washes of various colors before the leaf patterns were painted.♥
