Description
This impressionistic watercolor was created from a larger watercolor painting of mine by reducing the size and altering the colors and focus. My idea was to create a painting with a certain mood...
I am reminded that here where I live in the Northwest the winter months that will soon follow this beautiful Fall we are having, can be kind of long where the cold temperatures and lack of sunshine sometimes give people the winter blues. Since I've only lived here for one year I've not yet experienced the winter blues, but have really enjoyed the snowy cold winter months.
What helps me get through especially cold days is that I like to think about the new life that is buried beneath the layers of beautiful white snow. I like to remember that new life cannot spring forth at its appointed time unless it first lies dormant in the hard, cold ground. I remember that it's the winter season that prepares new life to emerge in the spring.
Spiritually speaking, I think we all get the winter blues at times... when life seems hard and cold and there just doesn't seem to be much evidence of growth or joy in our lives.
So I think that when these winter seasons happen to us we need to remember that even in the midst of the coldest winter season we can know that the warmth of God's love will never leaves us! His love will remain in us and with us as we experience the season of winter blues.♥
