Description
I painted this watercolor of a quaint Italian village many years ago when I was confined to a TB hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan for 2 months. Apparently I got a fungus in my lungs that looked like TB, but thankfully wasn't. So in order to lift my spirits, I escaped into the wonderful world of art where I was free to travel to distant places that were far away from the sights and sounds of a hospital.
It's summertime in this quaint little Italian village. Two young boys are sitting on a stone bridge watching a flock of birds flying in the sky as they throw small stones into the cool waters of the mountain stream beneath them.♥

Thank you very much for your great comment, Hazel! I love this kind of bridge. They have them all over the place. I saw one - a very long time ago - in Mostar, Kosovo. At that time, it was still Yugoslavia. They're very pretty.
