Description
This is another version of the original watercolor entitled "An Oasis in the Desert". I cropped the painting and changed the colors, mood, and season in order to portray this beautiful abstract desert thunderstorm.
It reminds me of the storms that come into each one of our lives... most often when we least expect them. And they seem to last forever. But after every storm the clouds disperse and the sun eventually comes out. Although we felt like we were going to get washed away, we didn't. Instead the rain washed away our doubts and fears, and left behind pools of refreshing water on the desert floor.
Suddenly our hope returns and we are ready to view life from a new perspective... As we look at these pools of clear water on the desert floor they remind us that Jesus Christ is the one Oasis in the desert places of our lives that will never run dry.♥

Hazel, the desert has always held a special place in my heart. This moment with a desert thunderstorm and your emotional expression of its wonder is so beautiful to see and experience. F/L.

I also like to find other passages in my paintings that can stand on their own. Well done. Also appreciate the description and analogy. Well done.
