Description
In 1984 it took me about three weeks to do this chalk painting of "Leonardo's Last Supper"... the room without the people...as the backdrop for an Easter Living Tableau at our church. We were going to do a Living Tableau of the Last Supper for an Easter Program and invite the community to come and celebrate with us. Jesus and the disciples were selected from members of the congregation and dressed to look like the people in Leonardo's painting. The original artwork was about 12 feet wide and 8 feet high, done on four three foot wide panels that were covered with large sheets of white paper. The tapestries on the walls were accomplished by doing thousands of dots of different colored chalk, that I now know is called pointillism. Amazingly the art project held up for about 10 years until eventually the church needed to dismantle it.♥
